Nyumba 591 is an eclectic residence on the top of Mulago Hill in Kamwokya, catered to backpackers, NGO workers, interns and families alike.
With close proximity to Mulago Hospital (<10min walk), Makerere University (<15 min walk), restaurants, bars and clubs (<10 min), Grocery stores and movie theater (<7 min walk), Acacia Mall (<7 min walk), Kisementi and Kololo Hill (<10 min walk). Nyumba 591 is centrally located in Kampala with various highways going throughout all parts of the country.

This gated property is secured 24/7 and consists of a fully serviced and furnished 4 bedroom house consisting of various arrangements of bunk beds (Building A), a 2 bedroom apartment (Building B), a 1 bedroom garden suite (Building C), living and dining spaces and a shared outdoor courtyard. Our property has been surveyed and approved by various major institutions on being safe and recommendable for their staff.

Laundry and daily cleaning services are done free of charge by our wonderful husband and wife team, Enock and Emily. Guests simply need to supply them with detergent.
If you have any specific ways of cleaning your room, they are more than welcome to tailor the way they clean your bed/room to your exact specification. We fumigate the compound every once a month to fight mosquitos and other insects from coming into the building.
Check in time is at 3pm but if you wish to drop off your luggage earlier, we have no problem keeping your bags safe free of charge. If you wish to enter into the room earlier than the check in time, depending on what time you wish to check in and subject to availability, we will charge you a minimal fee.
This also goes for late check outs as well. We do offer 24/7 airport and bus terminal pick ups/ drop offs at a minimal fee. Please message us prior to your check in for costs. The compound is situated right in front of a boda stand, convenient store and a rolex stand! We don't have an actual reception desk right now but we are open 24 hours.
Enock and Emily work from 8am to 6pm and our night guard, Richard takes over till Enock and Emily come back to work the next morning. This means that someone is always on the compound at whatever time you wish to check in and if you need any help throughout the night. We offer our guests wifi mobile devices so that you data is your own. You can take it anywhere in the country so that you really dont need to worry yourself buying a sim card and worry about slow internet due to the high traffic of guests at the hostel. Your internet is your own and no one else's!
