Overlooking Halfmoon Bay and the islands of the Foveaux Straits, Kowhai Lane Lodge is just 5 minutes’ walk from the waterfront. A 4-hour Ulva Island tour is included in your accommodation rate. All accommodation offers a TV and electric blankets.

Set on Stewart Island, Kowhai Lodge is surrounded by lovely gardens, home to many species of native birds. It is 6 minutes’ walk from the ferry terminal and ferries to Bluff. There is a free bus transfer to and from the air terminal.

Accommodation options include private rooms and self-contained apartments. All are heated and offer a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer.

Shared facilities include a communal kitchen and a self-service laundry. There are secure lockers provided for gear storage while hiking the nearby trails. Guests enjoy a communal lounge with a DVD library.

Kowhai Lodge Stewart Island is 4 minutes’ walk from Oban’s shops and restaurants. The communal kitchen offers a shared pantry and fresh fruit, tea, coffee and milk is supplied each day.
