We are in the process of restoring this grand hotel to all its glory with an exciting remodel designed to significantly enhance all guestrooms and key facilities. The hotel will remain open throughout the restyling, which will be undertaken in different phases to minimize guest disturbance. Even with precautions, noise disruption may be noticeable from 10 am - 6 pm Monday to Saturday. In order to redesign the hotel lobby, the main entrance might be relocated. We remain committed to providing guests with exceptional service throughout this period. The completion of the restyling will re-position the property as a Mandarin Oriental hotel in late 2019. Please note that our Club Lounge will remain closed through 2018 due to maintenance. As an alternative benefit to Club guests the hotel will provide a food and beverage daily credit of CLP $20,000 per room, which may be used in the restaurants (Senso, Anakena, Matsuri, Atrium, Duke’s Bar, In Room Dining), including minibar services. This credit cannot be transferred to other guests or dates. The AKO Wellness & Spa will be undergoing renovations between July 1st, 2018 and it is expected to last until early 2019. During this period, the Hotel will continue to welcome its customers in an alternative area for Fitness as well as Spa treatments. LOCAL TAX LAW Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%. To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won’t be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency. In case of no show the invoice will be billed in local currency, including this additional fee (IVA). * This additional fee (IVA) is not included in the hotel rates and must be paid separately. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
