The Gjaid Alm is only reachable by cable car or in a 4-hour walk from Obertraun. It is not possible to reach the Alm by car. During summer guests can hike in the immediate vicinity. Lake Hallstatt can be reached within 8.7 km.

Upon request, Gjaid Alm can transfer baggage from the cable car station to the Alm.
