The guest house has excellent location in the city center. It is a renovated old flat with 6 rooms, two common bathroms and a kitchen on the 4th floor of a large house. The flat was recently renoveted, the furniture is new. The two bathrooms are ok. The room was clean when I arrived, but was not cleaned during the 4 days I stayed there. It is expeced that the guests clean the kitchen after themselves, but not everybody did so. The staff is friendly. The rooms are large, the towels (you get one per person) are small. Fot rhis price it is a very good choice.
It is difficult to find and enter the guest house when you arrive. There are several entrances of the building and it takes time to find the right one. The right address is Kozitskiy pereulok 2., and there is only a small sign at the door with Russian text "Gostinnij dom Versaj". The door is closed and you have to ask the reception by your mobile phone to give you the 8-digit code. The guest house does not accept euro for payment.There are several exchange offices close to the hotel where you can change euro for rubles, but they apply dirty tricks for foreigners (I lost 100 euro during exchange at the Pushkinskaya square).
